Perfect necklace for my niece Feb 03, 2009

I purchased this for my 11-year-old niece's birthday in January and it was very nice. The size was perfect and the chain was very high quality. Just as a note to buyers, the pendant is MUCH smaller than the photos make it appear; get out a ruler and check how large 8mm is (it's very small).

I would highly recommend this necklace!

I bought this to go with some lovely garnet earrings I bought for a birthday present at the same time, and I'm very pleased with it - while they weren't sold together, they function perfectly as a set. The quality is excellent, and delivery was very prompt.

This pedant is very nice, much nicer than it looks in the photo. The garnet is very beautiful and the color is very deep red. It is good size, the chain is actually very nice and I will use it, although originally I thought I would use the pedant with my other chain as this one looked to me cheep in the photo.

Usually, when you buy a pendant off amazon, you wind up with one of two things: either a really nice stone and mounting on a really cheap-looking chain, or a really nice chain with something that looks like plastic hanging off it.

Not so in this case! The stone was a beautiful deep red, the chain was perfect, and the mounting wasn't cheap-looking or mis-sized so the pendant looked either gaudy or under-sized.

I love this necklace! I prefer jewelry that is small or delicate and this necklace is the perfect size, not too big - not too small. Use a ruler and measure out 8x6mm and you'll see the exact size of the stone (it is smaller than pictured). The chain is sturdy and appears to be of high quality. The stone is a beautiful red, just a pictured. I am happy with my purchase!
