The pendant is approx. 3/4" in length. The surface glistens. The back is not hollowed out. It has a decorative grate that is finished with white gold or rhodium. The white diamonds are pretty clear. The black diamonds are more of a graphite color. All the little diamond chips are bead set in sterling. If you clean and polish this pendant with a cloth, the silver bead setting will sparkle and increase the appearance of brilliance in the diamonds, but the black diamond chips won't show a lot of dark color, because the silver beadwork in the setting becomes so icy white and glossy after a good cloth polish.
This pendant is fun, whimsical and well made. The 18" chain is decent....plain, open link and strong. I put my on a little thicker, diamond cut chain and had no problems with it accommodating the thicker chain. Delivery was prompt.

I haven't taken this necklace off since I got it. It fits my rocker chic style. It's small enough so it's not gaudy, but big enough to get noticed. It's really cute and fun!

Got this for my birthday and I love it! I was a bit worried that it would be too big but it isn't. It is the perfect size. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is the chain seems a bit frail.

I bought two of these, one for my sister currently undergoing a skull fetish and one for myself to wear for Halloween, I'd bought them as a bit of a joke, but when I put it on last night I was surprised to find it's actually very wearable and very well made.
